Principal’s Message

A smiling woman in a blazer sits in a red chair in front of a wall with 'Azalea Park Elementary Panthers' text.Dear Azalea Park Families,

Welcome to a new school year! It is an incredible honor to serve as the principal of Azalea Park Elementary. Whether your family has been part of our Panther community for years or you are joining us for the first time, we are so glad you’re here.

This year, our theme is Launching into Excellence. Excellence is not a destination. It is our direction. It is the commitment we make every day to give our students the very best while helping them discover their unique gifts and potential.

Our focus this year is simple.

We are committed to student achievement by helping every child grow academically while reaching proficiency. We believe every student can learn, every student can grow, and every student deserves adults who believe in them.

We are equally committed to building a strong culture and climate because learning begins with belonging. The culture of a school is the foundation for everything we do. It is how students, families, staff, and visitors feel the moment they walk through our doors. Our goal is for every child and every family to know they are seen, valued, and loved.

Most importantly, we believe education is a partnership. Together with our families and our community, we can accomplish far more than we ever could alone. Your voice, your involvement, and your support make a lasting difference in the success of our students.

As your principal, I look forward to listening, learning, and growing alongside this incredible community. I cannot wait to celebrate milestones, overcome challenges, and watch our Panthers soar as we continue Launching into Excellence together.

Thank you for trusting us with your children. It is a privilege to partner with you this year.

Con cariño,

Yashira Maldonado
Principal
